Dr. Krishna Pothineni, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiologist specializing in cardiac electrophysiology with the Kansas City Heart Rhythm Institute at HCA Midwest Health. He provides care across the Kansas City metropolitan area, including Missouri and Kansas, with a focus on the management of complex heart rhythm disorders.Dr. Pothineni is experienced in advanced procedures, including catheter ablation for arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia, as well as cardiac device implantation and lead extraction. He earned his medical degree from Gandhi Medical College and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, followed by fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Pennsylvania. He has contributed to academic medicine with numerous peer-reviewed publications and is an active member of major cardiology societies."
